I currently have a dual monitor set up 2 x 1080p 60hz but i'm gonna get some upgrades today, i use them for music production and a bit of gaming
I'd use the 1440p for gaming and then a standard 4k for normal use, is there any problems having two resolutions like that? or should i just get 2 x 1440p monitors, one 1440p with a lower refresh rate

Cheers

It's a problem when you take something from your higher res display and put it on your lower res and you'll have to resize it. An annoyance but it's workable. I used to run 2 screens with a 1920 and 1620 display and I want to go back to 2 screens and when I do I'll make sure I match the resolutions for convenience.

If you want to mix resolutions and I presume your main screen will be on the left, make that one your 4K monitor. It's easier to size up then size down.

It's been about 7 years since I dual screened and it maybe different these days.
