Hi,

I got a widescreen monitor today and hooked up both that and my old smaller tft to the other DVI port on my 6800nu and tried "Ultramon" with it .. when i enable the 2nd monitor the primary monitor gets weird lines and the picture looks bad, the other TFT (2nd/older).. appears okay i think.. any one know if this is simply the graphics card not "coping" or if there is a fix/work around for it,

thanks in advance,

Petros

EDIT: the 2nd/older monitor also has the lines on it i didnt notice before

Are the lines like the ones Ive got?

nop it only happens when i try dual view (both monitors on at the same time..).. if the new monitor is only on or visa-versa then it displays 100% fine.. the lines are more like "interferance" is *** i would describe them.. but the tft's are far away from each other i dont think it is interferance unless its coming from the graphics card itself... the lines are like waves going up and down the monitor

Ah yes.

"The waves"

Ive had that problem before, its a graphics card issue. Changing the refresh rate solved it temporarily, however this was on a CRT.

In the long term I had to buy a new graphics card.

I'm not sure what the 6800's are like for dual monitor support, its either too much for it or its on its way out.

./cry, uh... i hope its not on its way out.. it still runs games fine so far.. mind u i only really play medieval total war II and WoW :P.. it only "develops" lines anywhere when i try to "multi-monitor".. so i guess its just too much for it.. or that its interferance from the cables some how :S
