dual monitors with different resultions

ive got my pc connected to my tft and samsung lcd. now i was wondering is it possible to have both monitors in clone mode with different resolutions as at moment i can get them in clone mode but cant figure out how to have different resolution on both of them

when its in clone mode it wont let me. it only lets me adjust the settings for the 1st monitor and then this is applied for both monitors

What you're talking about isn't really possible. thin k about it. Imagine that you have two screens, one at 640x480 and one at 1920x1080. If you were to had it set to clone the display on the two different resolutions and you moved your mouse 500 pixels right to click an icon how far would the cursor travel? With the small res as the baseline it's way more than halfway across the screen. If the large monitor was the baseline you wouldn't even get halfway across.

In short in clone mode you have to clone the small display and stretch the image onto the larger one.
