dual monitors

not much, i've tried it once and its pointless. you can either set them up so both monitors display the same or you can have it where you display is stretched over the two.

wrong..

dual displays are very useful if setup correctly, if you multitask that is.

you could have a webpage on one screen and a word document on the other.. or any combination of applications..

i find it helpful for college/uni work as i can have the assignent on one screen and my work on the other

once youve had a propper dual setup you wont go back!

very true :( had 2 15" tft screens... got a dell 1... which i am useing now.. and this cheapy 1 from carboot and used them as duals... the plan was to sell the other tft which i got from carboot but i fell in love with them... but i had to pay my dad back for getting me the screen... so i put it on the bay with and had loads of watcher's and then no 1 buys it for £40 :|....anyway.... so i sold it to my grandad, he come here to pick it up... but on the way home he bust it... so me and my dad went over to see if it was alive but he blow the hole thing up...
so lost a bit of cash but oh well... after that i was back to my 15" dell screen... it didnt feel right with 1 screen... so now i am useing my dell tft and a crt :(
never go back...
( sorry if it doesnt make sence - tired :p )

Opened a few apps for a demo. If you can't see yourself doing this kind of thing then UNiQU3 may be right.

It depends on what you use your PC for, if its just browsing and gaming I doubt you will make use of a 2nd monitor. If you work on your PC and need several apps open its a godsend. I use 3 19" screens and I still have to alt-tab a lot, I would get more if I had space left.

I've been using 3 screens for a few months now (had 2 before that for a couple of years), could never go back to a single screen.

By using Ultramon you can give each screen it's own independant taskbar, saves cluttering up the main screen taskbar with the apps on the other screens.

17" TFT (on left)
22" CRT (in middle) - soon to be replaced by a 22" WS TFT when I decide what one i want.
15" TFT (on right)

once you decide what apps you want on each monitor it's great. :)

yeah the 17" is a beige LG, and the 15" is a black BenQ so it's not the most elegant looking setup. :)

I was given them both for free though so I don't mind too much. :D
