Dual Monitors

I've been out of the hardware loop for a little while and am in the market for a new graphics card.

I'm currently looking at something like http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-154-MS&tool=3

However, I'm a bit confused because my current GFX card has two DVI ports sticking out it's rear. From the pics, this only seems to have one. What would I need to get dual monitors running on this?

Also, are there any other recommendations for something around that price range? There seems to be a fair amount of choice!

You would need to get a hdmi to dvi adapter or cable .

If you mean how would you connect two dvi monitors, then it might come with a mini display port to dvi adapter or hdmi to dvi etc or you would have to buy a adapter. The description doesn't say anything about an adapter so i'm not quite sure whether it has one or not.

The card has a DVI, HDMI and two Mini DisplayPorts so connect one monitor through DVI and the other through HDMI/DisplayPort or any combination. A DVI adapter may be required.

Checked the product page and only thing it comes with is a DVI to VGA adapter and a mini DP to DP adapter.

You can get an adapter to turn one of the other ports into a DVI port.

The 7850 are good mid range cards and they overclock very well. If you wanted to consider something else then a GTX 660 gives similar levels of performance.

Thanks for the replies. One of my monitors is a 120hz benq, the other is just a standard samsung jobbie. I think I'm right in saying that to run the benq in 120hz it has to be connected via dvi-d. If this is the case, then I guess I should use the HDMI to DVI adapter for the Samsung monitor right?

Yeah use the Dual-link DVI for 120Hz

Doesn't the adapter need to be active? I don't think the Displayports on the 7950 can output DVI/VGA signals. Meaning he would need this adapter if he does want to use the Displayport: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-058-HS&groupid=1929&catid=1757&subcat=

I use an active xfx mini display to DVI adapter on my 7850. Works great.

I also use the XFX adapter, cheapest Active calbe by far when I bought mine and does the job just fine.
