Hi,

i currently have a 7600gt connected to a Samsung 930BF, and would like to buy another Samsung 930BF so i can play World of Warcraft and still browse the internet etc.. at the same time. Is this straight forward, if so how ?

Its possible, but has drawbacks, 1st you have to remove the ''mouse lock'' of 1 screen by alt tabbing and tabbing back to wow, that way u can move the mosue pointer off the 1st screen when in games too.

But the biggest problem is, when u then select a browser on monitor 2 for example, you can see the menu bar of windows on the game screen, cutting off a bit of the game screen wich is annoying, also i dont know if wow does this, but some games minimize when selecting iexplorer (or anything) for example on the 2nd screen, I don't play WoW so I can't test it out for ya, sorry.

Oh and desktop reso and game reso have to be same, or else it'll look odd.

It's easier if a game supports windowed mode, that way its quite easy to do what you want...

Although i use nvidia for multimon managing, the nview system that creates the desktop's etc. is turned off, as it sometimes freezes on me, so i disabled it, so can't tell.

You may btw want to wait for people to reply with multiple mon's and WoW, as WoW might allow everything you want w/o probs, I just can't tell as I don't play WoW...

Run WOW in windowed mode, just hit the windows button to move your mouse to the other screen, done and done

I played WOW for a long time with this setup and can highly recommend it, you never know when u need to chk the net for a waypoint ;)

Once you go dual screen you wont go back, oh and make sure you get a hold of Ultra mon as well as its a must for a dual screen setup

Well seems WoW supports windowed mode as the guy above says, so now I recommend you go for it, as with games that support windowed mode its easy to browse on 1 screen while game on the other, even outside games dual monitors is very nice to have.
