I recently purchased a full system from ocuk including 22" monitor, but i still have an old 19" monitor left over, so i thought why not use it as a second monitor, but i need to know, when i'm playing graphically intense games like crysis, will just turning the 19" monitor off stop any graphics going to it (crysis on a 22" screen + a 19" screen will be low fps) or will i have to unplug it at the back and change the settings back to single screen to play crysis, if that makes sense :)

Get a program called ultramon. Its the best program for multiple monitors, has loads of stuff you'll use a lot and also as a option to disable the secondary screen (And enable it again) quickly. You can also set up shortcut profiles so that it will do it automatically when you run for instance your crysis shortcut.

Definitely recommend ultramon but just having one screen showing the windows desktop does not really tax the gfx card so i would doubt u would see much/any improvement with one screen disabled during gaming.

And no switching it off does not stop the gfx card rendering the image - if u want to check run furmark on the main monitor and a gfx card diagnositic tool (e.g. GPUz) on the 19" and switch off the 22" and u will see it is still whirring away at full temperature/usage.
