Hello. I just bought a second Benq monitor (same as my first monitor). How do I get a game to display across both monitors? Im using one GTX460 GPU.

Thanks

Go into the NVIDIA Control Panel, expand 3D settings and click on Configure SLI, Surround, Physx. Should be a check box for Span displays with Surround.

I can go Nvidia control panel > 3D Settings.

After this I have Adjust image settings with preview, Manage 3D settings or Set PhysX Configuration.

Would it be a problem that one of my monitor its VGA and the other is HDMI > DVI? Ive noticed it says one is analog and ones digital.

On my card I have one mini hdmi (with the hdmi adaptor). Two DVI's but because of my old VGA monitor I have a DVI > VGA adaptor on it. I need to buy a DVI > DVI cable for my second monitor don't I?

Don't bother unless you upgrade the graphics card.

Nvidia intentionally removed 2-screen surround at driver level. This feature only exists for their Quadro workstation cards. In fact, many of the Korean/Chinese dual-input 4k displays will not work with Nvidia cards because of this. Nvidia are manually adding EDID data for known displays, rather than removing the limitation.

Does this mean with the GTX460 I cannot run games spread across both screens or was you response to the swapping DVI with HDMI>VGA?

If the answer is yes to the first part would I be able to do it with a 560ti or even GTX660?
Thanks

You could try a program called SoftTH

http://www.kegetys.fi/SoftTH/

Its meant for three screen surround but can also be used for dual monitor surround with a custom config. A quick google found this tutorial

If you can't get it to work I can trust you my config :)
