Dual Vs Quad Channel Vs Speed

So following on from my new system upgrade post , And that the memory FAQ is way out of date.

Could someone advise whether it's worth spending more on a slower/lower frequency , but quad channel , pair of sticks.

OR

Spend less , but on a faster pair of sticks?

I'm well out of the loop and there's so much more memory available now than when i last build a machine.

Quad channel is only supported on specific high end desktop chips like threadripper on Intel X299 boards. What is your new system?

It'll be around an X570 , I'm so out of the loop i wasn't even aware it was a thing till i noticed 2 sets of 32gb DDR4 but one was much more expensive but a lower speed. Sounds like i can ignore quad-channel then

X570 doesn't support quad channel as you say. How much memory are you planning on using, 32GB?

2x16gb will be slightly easier to run than 4x8gb.

I was planning on 32 but with 2x 16 Sticks so i have easy expansion room.
