Hi, we are going to Dubai next month and our flight home is ~2am Dubai time. We will have our nearly 3 year old with us.

We're hoping to stay in the Atlantis Palm and at nearly £400 a night we don't particularly want to pay full rate for the final night given that we'll be leaving 10pm or so.

What do folk usually do in these situations? Is there enough to do near the airport to drop bags and find a cheap hotel for a few hours kip before the flight? Bearing in mind we will have a child to entertain and we don't want to waste a day at an airport. Or just suck up the extra night?

Will the hotel keep your bags for you? They might even allow use of the pool etc on the last day?

Most will, I've done it a few times

Then spend the day doing whatever, pick up your bags and head off at the time.

We've not asked yet, guess there won't be any harm. The boy tends to sleep wherever, so not really fussed on having an actual bed.

Ive left bags at a few hotels recently, has never been a drama. They're probably used to people asking with awkward flights etc.

Never used the hotel, but the water park at the Atlantis was great when I last visited.

Just book one of the hotels by the airport, Ibis Styles was the one I used last time for a 8am flight, was about £40.

Next time don't book a 2am flight :p
