Dubai's Torch Tower on fire

As bad as things can be here (cladding scandal etc) Middle Eastern Health & Safety is not on the same level as the west. Just look at that shopping mall in Qatar (in 2012) that went up in flames. It would have been difficult to break more rules than they did.And that's quite apart from the number of foreign workers who die in the Middle East each year on building sites. And work in horrendous conditions

Yet an 82 story building went on fire twice and didn't suffer any casualties

That's up there with my aunty smoked twenty cartons of cigarettes a day & lived to 103yo. So smoking mustn't be the cause of lung cancer.:D The health & safety failings of the Middle East aren't exactly a secret. Nor are the high number of foreign worker deaths due to lax health & safety standards
