Ducati 999/1098

I'm looking for a bike that is relatively simple to switch between road and race fairings, for trackdays. I've currently got an 04 ZX10r but honestly, it's a nightmare!

My old 916 was a doddle to convert (about 10 Dsuz fasteners and it pretty much all came off) so I was wondering if anyone has a 999 or 1098 who could comment on how easy the fairings/lights etc come off.

Somehow I got sign off from HQ to buy a Ducati.

I can't really justify a 1098 as a track bike anyway, but I might take a look at a 999.

Excellent, thanks. I've yet to make a decision yet... Getting rid of my current bike will be hard for me - I've put a lot of money and love in to it.

I'm guessing the tail unit is a bit of a nightmare on them though, although that's based entirely on assumption...
