Got a nice couple of wild duck legs out of the freezer for tea tonight, and was just going to use one of my standard recipes to cook them up, but I thought I might see what the OcUK favourites were. Maybe you'll have some suggestions that take my fancy!

So OcUK, one oven, one hob, two duck legs, one meal. Suggestions?

I often just roast them like chicken legs and serve with roast veg and gravy. If you have a lot of spare duck fat you could slow roast them ala confit. Takes about 2-3 hours at 150 in the oven but the meat just falls from the bone and is so succulent. You can make cassoulet with is too :)

Confit is beautiful it's true, but don't have the fat on these to do that. You've reminded me that I need to make some more though so I've got some to hand!

I find that duck legs work well with some stir-fried noodles and veg.
Sprinkle a bit of five spice powder on the leg and roast in the over until cooked.
Then just cook up some veggies and noodles in a wok with some ginger, garlic, chilli and hoisin and soy sauces.
Simply serve the duck leg on top of the stir-fry and tuck in :)
