It's a while since I used one, but I don't think you can change DNS servers on the BT Hub, it's hard set to use the BT DNS servers.

You'll either need to set DNS manually on each device (no thanks) or use something other than the BT Hub as your DHCP server. A Raspberry Pi running dhcpd would be easy enough to setup.

@the-evaluator I almost posted the same, but Duck DNS is one of those dynamic DNS services after I quickly looked it up - which the BT Hubs do support, but usually the likes of No-IP etc. Not sure if they support DuckDNS or not personally tbh.

From what I remember there's no option to change the DNS servers in the BT Hubs so I'm a bit surprised that they 'support' DuckDNS. Happy to stand corrected though.

Ignore me, I wrongly assumed that DuckDNS was a Pi-Hole type DNS service, I didn't realise it was a dynamic DNS provider.

Was half way replying to you like derp they are 2 different things, changing DNS servers and a Dynamic DNS service

Yes it should work, but you will need a DNS-o-matic account as well.

Set the smart hub 2 to update DNS-o-matic, which is one of the supported services, and that in turn can update DuckDNS.

I haven’t tested it as I have a script on my raspberry pi which updates DuckDNS directly, but in theory it should work.
