Hi Guys

Some epic new keyboards landing tomorrow from Ducky.

The 9008P or 'premier edition' does away with the flashy show piece that the Shine III set out to do and goes for an all out approach on quality and feel for the ultimate typing experience in two unique colourways.

PBT keycaps feel amazing to type on but the Dye Sublimation is simply incredible and really is a step up in both aesthetic and quality.

In addition to this, we are adding these new boards to our ongoing 'buy a mechanical board and get a free OcUK mug promo!

Ducky Premier DK9008P

@ RJK,

Please can you confirm a couple of things for me?

1) The website description says: Backlight area: Full (100%), but from the other wording it seems only a select few keys are backlit, can you confirm how many/which keys are backlit?

2) As its a UK keyboard will it come with the full size 'Enter' key or the smaller ones as per the pics above?

Love the look of the blue/grey keyboard, might just tempt me away from the Logitech G710+

Thanks :)

backlight area is only certain keys. product listings will be updated this morning. apologies. Ducky dont provide detailed english descriptions :o

the keyboards are UK layout i believe but have checked with Ducky this morning and will update the thread with an answer as soon as i get a response.

Will these be the only colour options or are there going to be others released later?

Also any idea if there is going to be a ten keyless version?

these are the only colour options at the moment. you may see others soon but ducky keep new products close to their chest

there are no plans for a TKL version of this board to my knowledge. TKL form factor actually doesnt sell well in asia which means they are always hesitant to make boards smaller.

i have been asking for ducky mini since computex 2013!

Hmmmm, this or the G710+????

What are the duckys like for build quality?

much, much better than logitech. the keycaps are worth it alone but the build on the ducky is far more premium than the logitech keyboard.

if i was making a choice between buying a keyboard from a generic peripheral manufacturer who makes everything and a keyboard manufacturer who only makes mechanical keyboards and has a reputation of being the best...

i know who i would be choosing!

As its a UK keyboard will it come with the full size 'Enter' key or the smaller ones as per the pics above?

Hi Rich
yeah there UK layout with the L shapped enter key
im going to sameday your stock over if they turn up early enough

Happy Dance :)

I would like the caps in honesty.
Ducky really could do with a premium PBT full keycap range in a few more colours

we have a small amount of stock
pre order to confirm it but i cant see you missing out.

this is a very specialist product really.

all ducky is one year.

here is some insight though since we have listed the Ducky brand:

13 faulty units out of 1300+ sold [just under 1%]
10 of these faulty units were found to be faulty within the 14 Day Guarantee period and replaced immediately. The other 3 developed faults later on.

so ignoring the DOA units, only 3 out of 1300+ Ducky Keyboards have actually developed faults after a term of usage for us.

Ducky do not do cost saving. their products are regarded as the best for good reason. for a £100+ keyboard, we usually anticipate higher DSR rates also.

This is hands down, the best returns results for ANY peripheral brand within our group.
buy with confidence.

Having tried Logitech, Razor, Corsair ect, the ducky is easily the best built out there. I recon I could actually hit people with it, and it would still work.

Also it has a replacable cable so no worry about broken cables.

I'd like to know the facts about how many have been returned under the Distance selling act. And not for reasons like wanted a differant switch or keys to loud.

returns under DSR arent accounted for under our fault reporting software so it isnt as easy for me to get exact figures.

however, going off a rough count on our ordering system we have seen around 30 units returned under DSR. which as a percentage is nothing really compared to what we do see under DSR usually.

you must also remember that we offer the 14 day guarantee. which means we get a few more DSRs than we used to.

on the whole, I think the large majority of customers have their expectations met or exceeded by some margin and thats what makes Ducky so popular as a brand.
