Just ordered a ducky shine 3 9008, im coming from a logitech g11 and am so excited to recieve it in the morn :) wasnt to keen on spending that much cash on a keyboard but after days of deciding i just thought screw it, its my first mechanical keyboard so fingers crossed i made the right decision, i purchased the cherry mx blue with green leds to match my razer deathadder. Any 1 know where i can get some custom keycaps in the uk.

Would be great to hear from some ducky shine owners to put my mind at rest with the fact that i just droped quite a bit of green on a mechanical board lol :)

I made the move from a Microsoft X4 keyboard to a Ducky Shine III just before Christmas. However due to an LED out, I didn't have a fully working one until the end of that month.
As I said in a different thread, I game and type, so went for brown switches which so far I've been happy with. I went for white LED's.
Expensive yes, however the keyboard is solid. Weighs a fair amount and you can see and feel the quality once you start using it.
It's the last keyboard I'm going to buy for a good few years, so decided it was worth the extra investment.

I have brown switches in mine. Takes a bit of getting used to with typing but gaming is much better than a rubber dome.
Should last me a good 15 years......

I just ordered myself one of these:

Its a ducky shine 3 but in white, will hopefully go with the Phantom 820 White case and the Corsair M95 Mouse so all matches.

Whats the Shine 3 like then? as at the moment I have the Razer Deathadder the black one with green backlighting and wondering if much difference between the two?

received it this morning but i am going to be return it as i cant be doing with the small left shift key while gaming :( which is a great shame as i absolutely love the keyboard, the pictures on the overclockers uk website show a big left shift key so i was devastated when i received it :/ so i probably now am going to lose some money in returning it as i will most likely have to pay postage back :( oh well, on to the next 1.

can someone help me out with the returning process, i cant seem to find any return option on my accounts section, any overclockers uk staff roaming about the forum ?

Send a webnote, with your order number.

Hmmm that is abit annoying by the sounds of it, luckily I am abit of an oddball and I use the Arrow keys and numpad to play games always have so I am hoping its in some kind of nice arrangement once it arrives.

I also have the Shine 3 with blue switch and green LED's! love the damn thing! much prefer it over my CM storm trigger with black keys. The lighting is brilliant! great keybaord to game and type on, and its built like a tank! YOu will not be disappointed! money well spent i say.

Just noticed you want to return it, which is a shame. I have a small pinky so the small shift key is perfectly fine for me.

the keyboard is ace i have to agree but its just that dam small shift key i cant put up with it grrrrrrrrrrr, 1 key away from my perfect keyboard, so bloody annoying, cant for the life of me think why they would put a small shift key on the left side and put a large 1 on the right side when games use the left shift key a lot more as thats were wasd is :0 its plain stupid to me, why put this silly icon \| next to z all on its own

Decided to keep it and train myself to use the small shift key in fps games, I love the cherry mx blues :) i just cant part with it now as its so god dam sexy haha

I just have a little voice in the back of my head telling me i should have got blacks, reds or browns instead as the only cherry mx swithch i have been able to sample is blue so i cant really compare

Its the same on my Corsair K70 and it was the same on the G15v2 it replaced.

I think you may have to have a word with yourself regarding the small left shift lol.

Oh and you really shouldn't listen to the voices in your head :)

The pictures on the shop are of the US layout thats why. :)

I've got a Shine 3 and love it, came from a Gigabyte Osmium, good but not as good. Stick with it, after a day or two you wont notice the size of the key tbh.

E: reds here.

Its not a mini left shift, it's full size for UK layout. I kinda agree it'd be nicer if it were bigger but the same is true of every keyboard that I find usable, the US layout is just too annoying!
