dud memory?

Just recieved some OCuk value 2GB (2x1GB) PC3200 DDR dual sticks and I think 1 may be a dud.

I have attempted numerous combinations with no luck, 1 stick works fine in both banks (by itself) the 2nd won't even POST.

Any obvious ideas? (mb in sig) and yes i know the SN45's are "particular" but the fact 1 stick works and 1 does not, well..

Well, I'm pretty sure it's a faulty stick, just tried both in my SK43 and once again only the one stick works.
