...you cannot play Forza, hahahahahaha.

Or words to that effect. This is driving me up the wall.

I have:

a) Disabled uPNP
b) Enabled uPNP
c) Manually mapped the Xbox live ports to my Xbox
d) Placed the Xbox in the DMZ

NOTHING seems to fix this issue which has only today started happening. I cannot connect to any Forza lobbies without this error.

Any ideas what to do? I have an O2 Access Box IV.

plug directly into modem or get the newest firmware for your router or 3rd party firmware such as dd-wrt.

if all that fails, try a different router (which may mean buying one)

Official ISP routers are often pretty naff. But I just read that it's only just started happening, so it's probably not the issue here. Have you added anything new to your network? It could be something the ISP is doing as well.

The joys of NAT.

I try all the things you've tried to no avail, it seems only restarts of the Xbox/Router constantly that rectifies things. Pain in the backside.

Try running a 'test connection' in the settings on the dashboard.

Go to System Settings>Network Settings>Test Xbox Live Connection or also try going to advanced network settings on the xbox & reset to defaults

The Forza servers are a total mess right now and most games you end up being dropped back to the lobby or main menu

the Forza forums are full of people having the same problem

Try running a 'test connection' in the settings on the dashboard.

Go to System Settings>Network Settings>Test Xbox Live Connection

This.

Rest your router, turn on your 360, then do the above, usually works for me.

I've not thought of fiddling with the Xbox. I assumed the blame was squarely at the feet of the router. Will try the Xbox this evening!

I've never understood why they can't put some more effort into a simple diagnosis application on the 360 and PS3 that cycles through the require communication methods and flags up exactly what the problem is. Would be a lot better than a simple "It didn't work".
