Ok, My 1st ever duel monitor setup.
The monitor i am using right now is a Alba 28" HDTV at the Res 1360 x 768 connected by HDMI.
I'm planning to get another Monitor not a tv. My graphics card is a HD5770. I don't know anything about setting up duel monitors so im guessing the monitor will need to support the same resolution and run in that? If that is right would a 1080p monitor support that? I'm quite confused.

You can have different resolutions running at the same time. I have 1680x1050 as primary and 1920x1080 as my secondary. Works just fine, although things do need resizing when you drag across monitors. I think 'extend my desktop' is the option I use. You can also duplicate your desktop but that will leave Borders.

You want "extend" desktop that will give you two desktops, duplicate just means that both screens will look the same, whatever you do on the main monitor will show up on the second monitor.

Ok thanks, I wouldn't want that. That defeats the whole point in me getting a duelmonitor setup.

Glad to be of help, duel monitors are awesome, they really help in allowing you to do more, I used to use the second one as a media screen, watch tv or movies while I work on the first one.

I use Eyefinity now, so more desktop! :D
