Right, not sure what happened but the other night I came back to the PC expecting it to be on as I had left it but it was dead...

After some fidling about I managed to get it restarted to find the Cards BIOS, Main Bios and Windows start up screens being 'squiff'. What is really wierd is my desktop is perfectly fine, as is DVD playback etc.

However, with anything using Hardware D3D etc I have what I can only describe as vertical shimmers or shakes.. what is annoying is its not artifacts that I could take a screen dump of.

I have managed to get rid of them in CSS a bit by turning on V sync, but other games are unplayable due to it. Even Css you can see the edges of walls moving.

Is there anything I can do or has it borked itself?

Yeah windows is fine, for as long as I want. System overall stability is not a problem.

Only when trying to use the Hardware 3D aspects of the card....

I thought of maybe trying to underclock it a bit to see if that rectifies it but tbh I don't see why I should have to? :o

lol yes it is.

I've never clocked it either, no much point tbh. If I wanted more I'd have bought it. Doubt a casual 100fps in CSS for a whole weekend is going to magically overwhelm the card is it?

dust it off, check temps, run it through some games that it wont struggle with.
I'm in the process of doing so with mine cus i fear its borked to high heaven

Actually I think I've pushed my luck... its appearing in Desktop environment now as well.... :(

Its gotta be borked.

Anyone know if I can RMA this back to the store? Palit website says they only issue RMA's if you bought the card directly from them... which I didn't.

Hmm.

If its in warranty then take it up with the shop, if i came from ocuk click the contact us link on the site and fill out the rma form

Yeah only December I think, order is still sat in my account showing 'printed in warehouse' or some tosh...

Phone call me thinks...

(Thank **** for the laptop is all I can say.)
