I started painting my woodwork in April with Dulux Satinwood and only managed 3 doorframes before a back injury cut me short. I finished painting my remaining ceilings/walls a couple of weeks ago and then went back to the woodwork which I finished about 10 days ago. However, even after 10 days, the paint still feels tacky as though it has not dried completely. Running my hand down the bannister feels really sticky still. I've just picked up a couple of photo frames from our window shelves and they were stuck and the paint came off. I lightly sanded all the woodwork before I painted and didn't put it on thickly either.
Looking around on the web now there seems to be loads of people having issues with the paint still being tacky weeks after applying it. I quite like the look of the satinwood paint compared to gloss so I'd like to keep it but what are my options now? Do I sand it all down again (if so, how much?) and then paint over with another brand of satinwood paint (recommendations?).
