I am in the process of googling this and looking for a solution so please don't crucify me here :) Is there a simple way to back/sync an android phone to home NAS that is running Windows?

Obviously it can be backed up on the cloud but wanted to see if it can be done locally on a NAS as I have a 24/7 machine which I used for plex and has a crap load of storage. It's basically just photos/docs but the user in question has quite a lot of stuff so running up against the freeby limits of cloud storage and can't see the point of paying if I dont have to given I have 40TB on the server at home!

Any thoughts/questions/slapsintheface let me know :)

**EDIT** I should say I loathe mobiles so I basically never use mine other than when I absolutely have to so not so with it as I should be on this :)

I guess there are two methods that spring to mind. Mount the phone to a Windows PC as an external drive and copy across that way, or use a file manager on the phone. File Manager for Android used to be really good, but seems a bit crap these days. Essentially you could browse your home network from the app and move content to the NAS from the phone app.

Cheers think I've managed to get it sorted, not quite a seamless cloud backup but relatively simple process using the file manager :)

Foldersync

You could try giving foldersync a go. I use it with tasker to sync every time my phone is charging but you can get it to sync on a schedule.

Plenty of customisation in it if you want to play rather than just a straight sync / backup.
