Dumb Question - which edge connector for SLI?

This is my first SLI configuration. I've bought a pair of GTX 980 cards and each has two edge connectors where I could, possibly, connect the SLI bridge. Which one should I use, or doesn't it matter?

On my setup in sig the bridge is connected to the sli fingers closest too the pci brackets.

OK, thanks. That's the one I've used.

The manual is very unclear. In one diagram it points to the connector furthest from the brackets and in the other diagram it points to the connectors closest to the brackets. We'll see when I finish the build and try powering it on
