Dumb youtube question

In youtube my Google account has my normal email address and name but if I comment on a video it uses an @xxxxxxxxx name, which is a bit silly and old. As far as I can tell this @xxxxx name is only on youtube? How can I change this name or just comment under my name name?

It might be add an account. I can't remember how I did it before and I can't remember my current password to test lol.

If you dont want to change accounts:

Open YouTube > Click your name in the top right > YouTube Studio > Customization (wand icon) > Basic Info > Change Handle then hit publish
