Hi, might be a bit of a noob question but I'm about to dump amd for Nvidea for the first time ever (something like 8-10 years). Apart from uninstalling catalyst control center via the uninstall program in control panel is there anything else I need to do to prepare my PC for my nice shiny new GTX 970?

Thanks for your time...

Update your motherboard bios now to save any possible issues when you plug In The new card.

Is this step really necessary? I've never updated my mobo bios before. Something about the way it's done makes me terrified I'm going to permanently screw my mobo... lol

Thanks to everyone else, I'm going to go the control panel route then if I encounter any issues I'll use DDU...
