Dune 2 - History and Remakes

I'm currently brain fried now after writing that lot :D, some of these articles take hours to write up! I do enjoy it though :). Shame there are not many here that can't write more than one quoted paragraph when it comes to game news, so much wasted talent :(

I've still got the DOS version of Dune II, might load up an open source later this week

I remember those bloody worms that used to nick your units when left on the sand. Lost many a good tank when not paying attention.

Couple of months ago I played through Dune 2000, still a good game today, will have a read of that later, thanks.

Tbh i would be happy with someone modyfing the original game to be able to select multiple units, it's the only thing really needed.
Saying that, it was the only thing that stopped en masse tank rushes because you couldn't be arsed ordering all your units to attack!

I remember playing Dune 2000 on the PS1 with my mate over system link. Holy **** it was amazing.

This was possibly the first RTS I played on the PC, got me into command and conquer later on. I also remember getting the sound to run was a pain for this as the usual soundblaster Port 220 IRQ 5 DMA 1 settings wouldn't work :(

haha loved this game.

That brings back some fond memories Neil :) Me and the mate used to sit in his house for hours at a time playing this on his commodore pc. Great review aswell.
