I've not played Conan, but Dune looked like ARK to me. Not sure what I think TBH.

I still prefer the Dune 2 type game (basically a pre-cursor to C&C) though this does look interesting - kind of get some Assassins Creed type vibes as well. I'll certainly keep an eye on it.

Online pvp game, naaaa I'm out!
Hopefully it is like Ark, which I've played with friends on our own server as pve. I think you could do the same with Conan. In that case the game becomes more like Valheim. Though for Ark, tame timers and resources/xp rates needed to be increased.
That said, I don't feel like the world of Dune fits that type of game IMO.

The first clip makes it look like Destiny 2 but with some random Dune movie models thrown in for fun.
Being a massive Dune fan I shall keep an eye on this one but not holding out much hope.

after playing ark for a while I think this could be awesome. But won't all biomes be sand?
it sounds like mostly sand.
but there are sietch/caves
their is the imperial basin as well.
but it sounds like this wants to be like a battle royal were players are constantly battling over area's of land.

Love Dune so will see how this turns out. I'm really hoping it will be good if its anything like ark then thats not a bad thing as i enjoyed that game also.

Game is insane (looking at videos), I really recommend signing up for beta tests.

Won't that be a case if you haven't logged on for a certain amount of time

Explore Arrakis Like Never Before
Dune: Awakening brings the epic landscapes of Arrakis to vivid life. Explore boundless rolling dunes, ancient underground Ecology Labs, and deep canyons pockmarked with caves, where bandits seek easy prey. Wander the bustling villages before braving the lawless and ever-changing deep desert.

An Ever-Changing World
Beyond the Shield Wall, cataclysmic Coriolis storms regularly alter the landscape, uncovering new valuable resources and sweeping away player-built outposts. When the dust settles, the race is on. Scout the fresh new land and uncover the secrets of the sands.

so souns very much like player outposts / constructs are temporry. atleast outside the sheild wall.

Interested to see where this goes but the trailer showed quite a lot of features / game play loops and I'm unsure how well they'll blend them together. The changing maps concerns me a little that it'll go down the fomo / forced daily grinds that other games have messed up on.

I've been signed up for the beta for ages now but not got into one yet.

I don't see it being very fun looking at endless sand dunes forever but then how would one add other planets without diminishing the entire point of the game?

I'll try it but... still.
