It's up on Steam in early access with a release date of 2022 but the devs has stated:

How long will this be in early access?
“Our current estimation is 9 to 12 months depending on how quickly we are able to reach our milestones and implement all of our planned features and content"

The first Dune game wasn't an RTS, but yes. I'm old enough to learn the ways of the RTS from Dune II

Dune 2 on the Amiga was one of my first RTS. Those damn sand worms could eat your harvester whole.

That was mega annoying, you'd be sorting your base out, and your hear " Warning! Worm sign." And then by the time you scroll over it was eaten.

I remember the original Dune, but I was fairly young and I didn't really know what I was doing. As I remember, whenever I sent my fremen to fight - despite the fact they were described as amazing warriors - they got their backsides handed to them.

If you want to re-live Dune II then there is a great Android port of it, I think it was free in GitHub. Played it through a few times.
