Has anyone managed to get this working?

I'm on Vista 64bit with a Nvidia 8800GTS (640mb) and it loads but i get like a black fog that just takes over the screen and then i cant see anything.

I had problems getting it to run on Xp, let alone vista. Be sure to get the latest patch.

I installed DK2 but couldn't get it working. Haven't bothered looking for a fix yet. I'm on Vista 64bit as well

i got dk2 working (mostly) - heres a hint, turn off 3d acel. in the options of dk2.

No problems with either on XP Pro. I've had DK2 running without issue on Vista (patched to version 1.7), but I've never tried DK on Vista. Remember than the original is a DOS game, ported rather averagely to Win95.

Well i found a way, you have to set compatibility to Xp SP2.

Disable Visual Themes
Disable Visual composition (or the one below the above)

Run as admin.

Then when it loads turn off bump mapping.

Works fine.

I managed to get through the whole of DK1 on XP Pro not so long back. Despite being newer, DK2 seemed much more problematic. It did work, it's just it crashed to desktop quite often.

Funny thing is, in vista i cant get DK1 do even load the installer.

DK1 works fine on xp, DK2 has ocassional crashes which can be rectified. For vista however your probably looking at vm.
