Dungeon Siege not working

Ok basically I just reinstalled Dungeon Siege, but its nto running, I have ofcourse tried it with all the compatability modes with each cd in the drive, and with the windows compatability modes etc. Any ideas?

*Edit also tried the latest patch

Your machine has changed how since when it used to run....
When you attempt to run the game what happens....

The information above may well help.
However turn off all "compatability modes" as you certainly don't need those for this game.

A few windows reinstalls etc, maybe a new soundcard

When you attempt to run the game what happens....
nothing, in clicking the shortcut the loading cursor comes up for a few seconds then nothing. tried gfoing direct to the .exe, a few reinstalls of the game etc. always the same.

I cant think of anything that has changed that should cause this problem... not even attempting to run.

I have also checked the processes list and nothing new appears on load
