Is it possible to duplicate a monitors calibrated settings across to another?

I just got a second screen, same model, and the colour is way off. My old screen has been calibrated with a tool from my old Uni, which I no longer have access to and can't afford to buy my own.

Anyone know if its possible to copy the calibrated settings? I'm not having any luck on google D:

If you open colour management in Windows, I expect you will find your older display with an ICC profile assigned (Probably assigned by the tool you used).

If you select the newer display you should be able to 'Add' and select the profile associated with the other display.

Hmm yeah, tried it, at some point the monitors have somehow swapped so the new one now looks how I want it, and the old one seems off. I've got the same ICC profile like you suggested and did a hardware reset on both to try and get them to look identical, no luck.

Going to trawl through Nvidia drivers to see if they're affecting it. And nope, seems fine there. Everything is identical that I can find but the screens still look rather different :S

All monitors are slightly different, unless you can use the same tool on both monitors they will always look different

You are best off ditching the profile or manually adjusting the 2nd one till it looks how you want using a website like lagom

Two reasons this won't work, even if the same model:

1. display's have a lifetime cycle, backlight and color filters will vary with time.
2. even if the same make and model, display manufacturers use different displays, depending on stock and prices for them. It's usual for them to mount displays from different manufacturers in china.

Therefore, you need a hardware sensor able to match them. I can recommend you the one I use as I have experience in matching my screens correctly with it: Spyder4elite. It has a "StudioMatch" function that is made to do so.

Happy new year everyone! :D
