Hi Folks
I've recently noticed that I now have an extra C Drive user file that I never noticed before in vista. I have a C/users/THESNELLS AND a C/user/THESNELLS.V2.

It's a smaller duplicate of the main user file. After a bit of research I deleted it but it keeps returning. Main irritation is that when it reappears it brings back a whole load of old deleted Explorer favourites and desktop files that had also been deleted.

Any ideas why Vista is doing this or how I stop it?

Cheers
Al

Your machine isn't on a domain is it? Sounds like a roaming profile, if I recall V1 profiles are Server 2003 and below and V2 are Server 2008 (Incl Win7).

.v2 are roaming profiles for vista and W7. The first time you log into a domain these profiles get created

Not that I'm aware of...

Sorry if I'm being thick but does this mean that just by logging into a web site this is going to happen?

I thought it might be someting to do with Acronis back up as it seems to create this folder at a certain point in time?
