Duplicating display on 8800GT?

I have a 8800GT which has two DVI outputs on the card. I have one plugged into my monitor, and I recently plugged the other into another screen in a different room so I can use either one. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse so I was planning to use whichever screen I was near to access my PC.

I have both displays plugged in but I am only able to extend my display over both displays, I can't get it setup so I have my basic desktop on both screens at the same time.
What am I doing wrong?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks

Andy

Yes it can be done I used to do the same with mine, now if my memory serves me correctly this is done within the Control Panel and then NVIDIA, set Monitor as Display and then second monitor as display and you then have two desktops showing on two monitors. If you mirror the display you just get an extended display with a massive desktop.

I think this is right it’s been a whiles since I used Nvidia.
