Hi I am affter something I can use as a dust filter for my CM staker 832, I am looking for some kind of material that I can cut to size so I can compleatly cover the mesh on the side panle of my case.

So I was just wondering if you guys have any ideas?

If I recall, I once used I think its called "Mesh...." and was from a fabric store, cheap, think it was like a square metre for £1 but that was from a few years ago when I had an Antec 900.

My Girlfriend said try useing some tights aswell lol, So thanks for all your replys you have been a big help.

@jeff, No thanks mate I have tried wareing them before they just make my balls itch :D lol

serious question do they make tights large enough to fit over the corsair 650d side mesh panel? I need a filter for it but don't know what material to use.

Put the side panel on a flat bit of wood with small packers underneath the panel to raise it off the wood slightly. Stretch out a square of stockings over it and use pins in the wood to keep it taught over the panel, the fact the panel is raised off the wood should help getting a good tension in the material. Next use modellers glue to put a seam of glue around where you want to stocking the stay. Let this dry, then trim off the excess stocking material. This should leave a square of material over the grill, which is still taught and will therefore act as a filter and look pretty decent. I did this with one of my rad grills which I use as an intake on one side of my case.

How about using double sided tape or hot glue gun instead of modellers glue?

If it's a fan you need a filter for use small size sheer tights and just put fan inside, a strong rubber band around, cut off ends and job done.

No-see-um screen used by camper for... can you guess?.. yeah, you guessed it, no-see-ums and midges. :D
Might not be as fine a mesh but much easier to fit and as fine as many stock case filters.
Use double sided tape on inside of side panel

sheer curtains work too. ;)
