Next door are going to be having their entire house re-pointed tomorrow which means cement dust everywhere.

Is this likely to cause paintwork issues, from what I have seen they will be using something along the lines of an angle grinder and have warned us it's going to be very messy.

Do I need to cover my car up?

Move it until they are done.

I have this morning but it's a lot of messing around as we don't have on road parking & the nearest place to park is over a mile away behind gates that are locked 30 mins before I finish work.

They have almost finished the work and to be honest the dust is not that bad, although the wind has been blowing the opposite way.

I took my car & parked it in the yard at the taxi company the Mrs's dad owns then walked to work over the last 2 days.

It's staying on the driveway tomorrow uncovered as it's currently pretty breezy out there, I was worried about it actually etching into the lacquer or something but it looks like an extensive pre-wash hose down at the weekend will sort it out.
