I can't be the only person with this problem :(

I am constantly loosing the battle with dust in my room, my keyboard has a layer of dust on it, well so does everything in my room at the moment, and i cannot find a way to reduce it.
I dust every week and have an air filter that is supposed to reduce dust, but that needs to run 24x7 but it's too noisy, so only has a limited affect

I have removed the carpet and now have wood flooring, which has helped a bit, but in the morning the dust is back again.

Like most of you, my room is packed with electronics and stuff, so plenty of surfaces for dust to settle on.

So do all you people have the same problem, or is it just me :(

Set up a positive pressure sealed enclosure with air-lock entry.

On a more serious note, if you have a bucket or washing-up bowl of water in the corner of your room, it seems to attract the dust and keeps it off the surfaces.

hmm gonna have to give that a try.

I was looking at small air pufifier that works by incinerating the dust that passes through it. it makes no noise and is relativly small, but cost's £150 and uses 50w of power..

keep comming with the ideas

Do you smoke? I used to have problems with dust and grime clogging up the PSU fan because of loose ash spilling from my ashtrays. I found a simple solution - stop smoking :)

dont spend the majority of your time walking around naked. Approximately 90% of dust is dead skin cells so... if you cover up, you'll reduce the amount of dust in your room drastically!

(otherwise try using something like Pledge, its good for repelling dust off surfaces)

I've got wooden floors and i get a lot of dust. Theres a load of dust under the floorboards from the loft conversion we had done and when trains go past the back of our house it stirs up the dust.

Dunno if its the same in your place, but theres nowt much i can do in my house except take up the floorboards and clean under them. Thats a bit much of an effort.

lol as asprilla just said uve just made the problem 100x worse. I had wodden floor in my old room and the dust used to drive me insane! Now we moved into new place theres carpets down and its no where near as bad! I mean after a week i can barely find any. Get carpet back or a big rug/mat in the middle of ure room.

Use some fabric softener mixed with water on a damb cloth to wipe thigs down with - softener is an anti-static substance therefore dust won't be attracted back as quickly

This works best on TV/monitor screens but will have a similar affect on surfaces :)
