Dust Magnet

Whats the best way of getting the dust out of your rig?

I always use the vacuum, but there is only so much i can get out.

I can't imgine how much dust my cpu cooler is storing between the fan and heatsink.

a vaccum, christ i wouldnt put one of them near my pc

my dad has an air compressor so i use that, you can buy cans of compressed air, they will do the job fine

Been using the vaccuum's hose & brush attachment on my puter's for years, just be gentle!

Does OCUK sell cans of compressed air? if not it would be a good thing for gibbo to add i guess.

Cotton buds work. You wont get all the dust out without taking it to bits

i use a bit of coiled ducting and a plastic drink bottle, cut in half with the ducting taped between, to make a set of bellows. it has enough umph to shift the dust out of the psu.

Why not?, i heard someone else say not to use a vaccum, do they create static or something?.

i believe the nozzle becomes statically charged when it sucks up things, especially things with a lot of edges like dust/ hair. if your lucky enough that the nozzle is made out of metal you can just earth it every so often though.
