Hey all, i have seen some dust mites in my bedroom, microscopic little things whitish grey in colour moving around. Just looks like tiny dots first noticed it on my phone screen.
We got carpet in bedroom and do usual vacuum cleaner but guess this is not good enough.
Iv used the bed bug spray which seems to have made a big difference but need a cheaper solution.
Things iv been reading up on and watching says to use dehumidifier and also steam cleaner

As always its best to ask the community incase someone has been through this and has good info before i just randomly start buying stuff.

If you've seen them they probably ain't dust mites.

Either that or you have microscope vision as dust mites are something like 0.2/0.3 mm.
i will try and get a photo next time but i cant make out any details, its just like tiny white dots that are moving. its the movement that i can see.

Are you sure you don't mean bed bugs? Those are bigger than dust mites - and especially with the outbreak in Europe it's quite likely you might have them too.
What colour are those?

Havent seen any today the spray may be doing its job.
Got a dehumidifier on the go too now.
Still researching into steam cleaner

Jackpot i found one in the car and got it on video.
What do you guys think it is?

Its way less than a millimetre big probably about a third of a mill or less even.

my guess:
Not sure on that one, no plants in the car or bedroom. Anything else that fits its configuration?

By way of trying to be more helpful,I did read a thread about this on HUKD lately, though I wish I hadn't, because now I am starting to get paranoid about looking for tiny white mites everywhere.

I don't recommend reading this unless you have them:

The general advice seemed to be a sort of quarantine thing, and putting stuff into ziplock bags to prevent spread and check more don't appear, and lots of cleaning!
  • Spider Mites/White Mites. These are visible as tiny white bugs, often described as looking like grains of salt or sugar. They can cause infestations in your home or even your car. You will find them on your furniture, carpets, curtains, bed linen and all other house furnishings. White mites are considered harmless by some as they don’t bite, but they DO shed hairs and it is these that can produce allergic reactions in humans.

From that link i think it is a white mite. What i may do is catch some on a bit of sellotape then stick it under a Microscope and see if i can get more info. They seem to be attracted to damp areas like the car and corner of bedroom.
Got dehumidifier going so hopefully clamp down on them.
As for the car.. nothing box of matches and jerry can wont solve
