Hi all, have abit of a dust problem on my canon 500d. The dust and debris is inside the camera, not on the mirror but above kind of towrds the top of the camera where you can see the focus dots. I tryed a small brush and **** buds but haven't helped, it's runing my photos.

Anyone have any advise on best way to clean it?

Thanks

Firstly, you shouldn't use cotton buds on the sensor.
Secondly, try a rocket blower as A.N.Other said.
If that doesn't work get eclipse fluid and pec pads (although I haven't tried it, it seems to be recommended).

If the dust is in the viewfinder, or the plate where the focus dots are I'm not sure how it can ruin your photos since the dust has to be on the sensor to actually be visible in a photo.

Might be best to get in cleaned professionally, costs about £30. Had to do my 500D last year and it's been fine since.
