Hi All

Putting this out there, if anyone knows the answer or where to look...

...after being woken up around 5am by the dustmen this morning...

Is there are legislation that states what the earliest time they can start work?

Think 5am and waking people up 2hrs before i need to is a bit much.

My point is, is there any legal legislation that states that they cant start before a certain time...just putting the question out there.

Its every week...just interested as it seems to be getting earlier each week and as someone has said...the dustcart sounds like its about to take off every 5 seconds.

And no i dont live near NASA ffs

You don't?

How ghastly. You should immediately become rich, or buy ear plugs.

I'd say your local council/local refuse centre would be in charge of the trucks, I'm sure they would be delighted it you contacted them about this issue.

Some people ey....bloody amazing banter lad...very proud of you.

Right lets get it straight....be as pedantic or sarcastic as you want...its easy behind your computer....

But the point im making is, yes it wasnt my idea of heaven at 5am...i do understand people have a job to do...my point is, is it acceptable that it should be 5am....anyone that thinks it is....pass over your numbers, i have a plan...im sure you will change your mind very very quickly.

All good, il ring them up...a post asking a question can be very lost with a host of you...

Yes but the fact you posted this query shows you are annoyed by them picking your **** up at 5am once a week (min), which is pathetic and on ********* proportions.

Why is it pathetic to think that 5am is unacceptable? Whats wrong with 7 or 8am?
Its people like yourself that grind my gears...its all good and well typing away that you think its acceptable....but whats that saying...walk a mile in someones shoes....

I wonder if the OP would complain if the bin men started later, which meant that rush hour traffic was heavier, which meant he had to get up and leave the house earlier.

Sorry i dont experience rush hour traffic down side streets mate....i very much doubt 1 dustcart is going to create such heavy traffic in the place i live. Sorry to burst your bubble of sarcasm

As i said whats your number il be sure to wake you up at 5am...hell make me a cuppa mate...theres a good girl

They are not ringing you at 5am to just **** you off though are they? and neither are they picking your **** up to **** you off at 5am, they are doing their job, there is a huge difference.

If it is illegal, ring the council, if you are peeved, ring the council.

You will have a worried and troublesome life if being woken at 5am once a week at min turns you into this :)

Point proven...you just wouldnt like it yourself!!

Youre basically saying suck it up...so whats your number fella...lets see how well you suck it up!!!!!

My point was...is it actually legal? Is there a guideline...and yes it is a pee take...5am...is a stupid time...1 job shouldnt dictate a neighbourhood and when they get woken up! Think about it logically more than behind your keyboard and nonsensically....
