Right yesterday I wrote a thread which was then closed as its against copy right which is fair enough as i didnt explain myself;

What it is a friend of mine is a in a band, they did a concert which was recorded onto video camera, it was then authored onto dvd, to play in a normal dvd player.

The problem is what they would like is a copy of the music/sound onto a music cd.

So is there a program which he could record the sound only off a dvd or off the orginal Mpeg file?

The dvd hasnt got any copy protection and isnt copyrighted.

BTW - I did try emailing a don but my emails a bit buggarded, and if they feel this thread is still against forum rules fair enough..

Virtualdub MPEG2 should do the trick mate. Will let you extract the dvd files to a WAV file. Its opensource too so zilch cost.
Then you'll want to cut the wav into the seperate audio tracks
