dvd author software etc

Hi there All, I am in the process of getting into making dvds of t.v shows ,and want to know what people are using for good dvd authoring software,something that makes menus and burns the dvd disc afterwards ? I have tried 'FT DVD Author' 4.0 which is ok ,but burnt the dvd upside down ! All info ,software etc will be helpful thanks Nj

Hi there does this burn AVI type files to DVD as well as MPEG files ??
