Hi all,

I have several large movie files a friend has recorded from a holiday. What DVD software would you recommend for me to get all these files on the DVD so they are viewable in a normal DVD player, with menus.

Thanks

Depends what format they are in currently.

ConvertXtoDVD is what i use for converting, but i'm not sure it'll work for you, that depends on the format the video is currently in.

You might also have a look at TMPGEnc 3/4 XPress to convert the file into MPEG2, and TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5/1.6/2 to covert MPEG2 into DVD Video Files and make the menus.

Both very easy to use, however they are not free. :)

Thanks for replies. Will check them out. Videos are in following formats: AVI, MPEG and one file "mp4 using the x264 codec", whatever that is.

TMPGEnc 3/4 XPress will certainly encode your AVIs (Divx, Xvis etc) and MPEG1 (althought if it is MPEG2 all you need to do is run it through TMPGEnc DVD Author), MP4 is a Quicktime video. :)
