Currently got a problem when im trying to access a dvd from a users machine when on a server.
The server does not have a DVD drive, and i need to access the installation from the DVD drive.

I have shared the drive, added permissions to the drive for my account. The share works fine from the users machine.

I am getting "Access is denied"

Any ideas, what am i missing, it must be something silly!!

Check the following is not enabled:

Open Local Security Policy > Computer configuration > Windows settings > Security settings > Local policies > Security options > Devices: Restrict CD-ROM access to locally logged-on user only.

Cheers peepsfor the suggestions!

Coxey, this looks to be the problem, the restriction is enabled, but i dont have the option to change it!?

I take it this is a group policy thing, presumably i need to edit it there?
