You can rip it using dvd decryptor, use virtual dub to extract the audio, then convert it using dbpoweramp.

so is ripping from Cd's and copying Cd's as is tapes, records............

one difference. to rip a dvd requires you breaking the copy protection. whether recording the media you own is ilegal or not, breaking copy protection is completely illegal.

that program works really well now all i need to do is to add chapter markers so i can skip songs but still keep it all as one.

Nero Burning ROM can do this to audio files.
When you're creating an audio CD, right click on the audio file and you can add markers to it.

I think it could be argued in court otherwise, as the law states that it is illegal to circumvent an “effective technical protection measure” on a copyrighted work... and as there are countless programs and methods readily available to anyone with an internet connection, it could be argued that it's not an effective method of encryption - but IANAL.

I believe it already has - DVD Jon was taken to court for creating DeCSS and it was thrown out.
