I think it could be argued in court otherwise, as the law states that it is illegal to circumvent an “effective technical protection measure” on a copyrighted work... and as there are countless programs and methods readily available to anyone with an internet connection, it could be argued that it's not an effective method of encryption - but IANAL.james.miller said:one difference. to rip a dvd requires you breaking the copy protection. whether recording the media you own is ilegal or not, breaking copy protection is completely illegal.
I believe it already has - DVD Jon was taken to court for creating DeCSS and it was thrown out.=walls= said:I think it could be argued in court otherwise, as the law states that it is illegal to circumvent an “effective technical protection measure” on a copyrighted work... and as there are countless programs and methods readily available to anyone with an internet connection, it could be argued that it's not an effective method of encryption - but IANAL.

When you're creating an audio CD, right click on the audio file and you can add markers to it.
tonyzero said:thanks but what i want to do is have a continuous concert in mp3 with no breaks but still be able to add track markers and song titles so if i wanted to skip a song i can, so can this be done and if so what the best way of doing it ?
