Just looking for some help.
Every time I load a DVD to watch it starts up windows media centre (something I have never used) instead of winDVD.

I've set the default programme under the default programmes but it still happens.
It's kinda annoying as I have to wait till media centre stops it flash style load up, close the programme, go into my computer, right and play.

Any idea how to stop it?

Blu-rays automatically load up with windvd.

It seems like a certain movie format (i.e the one on the disk) is set to open with Media Centre.
When a disk is in the drive, right click and select explore. Navigate to the actual movie file on the disk itself and select play/open with or similar.

Then select WinDVD and click the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" box. It should now work. If it doesn't then have a look in the WinDVD settings to see if there are any default files associated with that program.

Thanks,
There wasn't an explore, so used open. Gave me a bunch of .vob and .ifo files, changed those from being VLC to windvd and made no difference, also can't find a setting in windvd.
Off to try my google-fu again.
