Hi folks, I've just upgraded my motherboard, cpu and ram while keeping all my other components the same. For some weird reason my DVD drive now doesn't work, so I'm unable to reinstall my o/s - the drive shows up ok, and windows doesn't show any errors with it, but it won't read anything (tray obviously works..).
It's the only IDE device I have, I've tried changing from mater to cable select on the jumpers to see if it made a difference but no joy - any suggestions ?

Yup, I've set up the boot priority in the bios - I can get into my existing windows installation (albeit with a few warnings about reactivation and new hardware detected), but if I try and look at files on my D drive nowt happens.
Obviously I've double checked cable connections etc
