dvd drive problems.?

hey guys

i have a few HDD on this comp 500 gig back up 80 vista and 200 for xp

i really only use vista, xp maybe like 1/2 a month lol

but booted up last night and in the "my comp" section it does not reconise my 2 ide drives anymore, was fine the last time i was on it, the bios and vista drive detects them and they work fine.

so went to the device manager

disabled them and re enabled then with still the Yellow exclimation mark next to them, and tried to update the drivers, but it couldnt find any.

any ideas people.?

if there is an excalmation mark next to them it probably just needs drivers but if you cant find any...
it'll help if you post details of drives like manufacturer and model so if its the drivers that are needed someone can help
