DVD Drive Replacment

Cousin has a Acer Travelmate 6735 and the DVD drive has gone *****.

I live in Wales her in England, Im going home for a few days next week and said I would put a new one in for her. Any idea which ones will fit? Anyone off a well known auction house that fits a Acer Travel mate? (I presume they are all SATA 2?). She doesnt have a clue and I need to get part now ordered so its there to do in 1 day.

Arent they all universal? You just have to pop the bezel off and fit it to the new one.

At least that's what I thought.

yer they all use slim sata.

just need one that fits the gap. check if its a 9mm or 12.7mm space (measure the old one) you can get them off the bay for peanuts.
