DVD Face Plates

Hi,

I have a Phantek Enthoo Case which is awsome, but it has a slightly aluminum looking finish on the front and when I put a black DVD drive into it you can notice it.

Is there anywhere I can buy a faceplate or somethign to help match the DVD drive to the case?

Well, some Samsung DVD models bring three bezel options - black, silver/aluminium and beige/cream. But of course you'd need to buy the actual drive too unless someone is willing to send you a spare bezel they aren't using (and it happens to fit your own drive). No idea if the silver/aluminium would perfectly match your case.

Do you need an ODD? Why not just get an external one?

Would rather it was internal but I was just wondering if the faceplates where easy to get or if Phantek done extras..

Do you really use it that much?

Take bay cover, double sided tape (strong stuff) stick it to the tray and then use windows to eject the tray etc

Just make sure if you do decide to try, use good strong tape.

Google "stealth dvd drive" and you'll find lots of tutorials etc.

You can change the DVD drive, as long as its a slimline slot loader for laptops. I had this setup on my Silverstone FT02 as that's aluminium and it looked so much better than a plastic drive, hope this helps?
